How To Get Here

We have worked hard with the local authorities and Powderham Castle to ensure travel is as straight forward as possible.  
Our aim is to ensure that everyone both arrives and leaves the concert as quickly as possible but most importantly as safely as possible.  The simplest and quickest way to get to travel is by using our dedicated shuttle bus service so we would encourage you to purchase your shuttle tickets through this website so that we can ensure there is an adequate number of buses available.

BY CAR OR TAXI

From A38 NE Bound (travelling from Plymouth), leave the A38 at the 'Wobbly Wheel Junction' and merge onto the A379 (signposted Dawlish). At the Marsh Barton Roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A379, then at the Matford Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A379 and follow the Powderham Castle brown tourist signs. Upon approaching the event, please follow yellow event signage, which will direct you toward event parking areas or drop off/pick up areas.

From Newton Abbot/Torquay, exit the A380 at it's junction with A381 Teignmouth. Follow the A381 through Teignmouth, where it merges with the A379. Continue on the A379 north-bound, passing through Dawlish and Starcross. Upon approaching the event, please follow yellow event signage, which will direct you toward the event parking areas or drop off/pick up areas.

From the North Leave the M5 at junction 30 and proceed towards Exeter joining the A379. At the Matford Roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A379 signposted to Dawlish then follow the Powderham Castle brown tourist signs. Upon approaching the event, please follow yellow event signage, which will direct toward event parking areas or drop off/pick up areas.

Event parking will be operated on a first-come first-served basis. If you are being dropped off by a friend/relative/taxi, you must not enter the car park entrances. Instead, follow “drop off/pick up” signage. Vehicles are parked at owner’s. Sleeping in vehicles/campervans is not permitted in the car parks.

Blue Badge Holders - Parking is located for within the VIP car parking (next to the castle).  You will be sign posted towards this car park.

You must have your blue badge or have prior agreement in order to access this car park.

BY DEDICATED SHUTTLE ​BUS

Dedicated event shuttle bus service between Exeter and Powderham Castle – The easiest and quickest option! 

This shuttle bus service will operate on a loop between 4pm and 7.30pm, with the return service operating from 10pm until 11.30pm.

Tickets for this shuttle service must be purchased in advance. Tickets are available from our ticket shop BUY HERE. All tickets include return travel.

BY ​PUBLIC ACCESS BUS SERVICE 

Stagecoach Number 2 Service.

The scheduled Number 2 bus is available between Newton Abbot, Starcross, and Exeter – in both directions. Timetables are available from the Stagecoach website TIMETABLE. Tickets can be purchased from the driver.

Notice – this is a public bus service and as such capacity is limited. Purchase of a ticket does not guarantee you carriage on a return service of your choosing. For more information please refer to the Stagecoach Conditions of Carriage [link]

BY RAIL

Powderham Castle is located near to the Exeter to Plymouth line. The nearest railway station is Starcross, located approximately a 30 minute walk from the event site. The station is operated by Great Western Railway. Timetables are available on the National Rail website.

Additional rail capacity will be made available on the day of the event. Demand for train services is expected to be high, so you may be asked by Great Western Railway staff to queue outside of the station.

With a wealth of footpaths and cycle routes, it’s easy to arrive at Powderham under your own steam. Pedestrians and Cyclists may enter via either the estate’s North Entrance (Church Road) or South Entrance (A379 South Town/Country Stores). It is recommended, however, that pedestrians and cyclists use the South Entrance in order to benefit from street lighting and pavements.

Cycle parking areas will be provided. Cycles are parked at owner’s risk.
